Rooftop solar for UAE villas

A villa roof in this country is a hot, dusty, windy place to put equipment. We size the array on your real bill, mount it to survive August, and hand it over working.

Short answer: Most UAE villa roofs take 12 to 22 panels once you allow clearance around water tanks, AC units and walkways, which works out at roughly 5 to 10 kWp. The right size comes from twelve months of your electricity bills and your summer peak, not from how much empty roof you have. Installation takes two days on site.

Sized on your bill, not on your roof area

The wrong way to quote a villa is to look at the roof, count the space and fill it. The right way is to start from twelve months of your electricity bills, find your summer peak, and size the array to cover the load you actually run — usually the AC, the water heater and the pool pump between May and September.

What a typical villa system looks like

Most villas we work on land between 5 and 10 kWp. That is roughly 12 to 22 panels depending on the panel rating, one string inverter, mounting rails ballasted or bolted depending on the roof type, and DC cabling run in UV-rated conduit rather than clipped bare to the parapet.

Built for the actual climate

  • Panels rated for the ambient temperatures we get here, not for a European summer
  • Mounting height that lets air move underneath, because a hot panel makes less power
  • Cable and connector types that survive UV and blowing sand for years, not months
  • Layout planned around shading from the majlis extension, water tanks and the neighbour's wall

What you get on handover

The system running, a walkthrough of every isolator and breaker, the monitoring app set up on your phone, and a folder with the panel and inverter datasheets, the layout drawing and the commissioning readings.

How it works

How a villa install runs

We stop at 10 kWp on purpose. Small systems are a different craft from megawatt rooftops — and they're the ones large contractors rush.

  1. Free site visit

We measure the roof or the yard, read your pump plate, and check shading and cable runs ourselves.

  2. Fixed itemised quote

Panel model, inverter model, battery capacity, cable sizes, mounting type. Compare it line by line with anyone.

  3. Two days on site

Off-grid farm systems are commissioned the same week, and a villa rooftop is also two days of work on site.

  4. Handover & monitoring

We hand over with the pump running, show you every switch, and set up the app so you can see production daily.

Villa solar questions

How many panels fit on a UAE villa roof?
Most villa roofs we survey take between 12 and 22 panels once you allow clearance around water tanks, AC units and walkways. That works out at roughly 5 to 10 kWp, which is the range most villa loads actually need.
Will solar cover my whole electricity bill?
Rarely all of it, and anyone promising that has not looked at your bill. A well-sized villa system typically covers a large part of daytime consumption, which is where the summer peak sits. We show you the expected numbers before you commit.
Does it work during a sandstorm?
Output drops sharply while the sky is thick, then recovers. The bigger issue is what the dust leaves behind, which is why we schedule washes rather than waiting for you to notice the drop.
Can you install on a rented villa?
Only with the owner involved, because the equipment is bolted to their building. If you are renting, talk to us anyway — we can size and quote it so you have something concrete to take to the landlord.
Why do you only install up to 10 kWp?
Because small systems are a different craft from megawatt rooftops, and they are the ones large contractors rush. Keeping our range at 1 to 10 kWp means every job gets a proper site visit, an owner-supervised installation and a same-week service response.
Can solar replace my diesel generator?
For most farm loads, yes. Solar with battery storage runs the pump and lights through the day and evening, and the generator stays only as a rare backup. Owners typically stop the daily fuel trips altogether.
How long does installation take?
An off-grid farm system is normally installed in one to two days, and a villa rooftop system is also two days on site. We confirm the exact schedule with you at the free site visit.
