Off-grid solar for azba and camel farms

The pump, the shed fans, the yard lights and the worker room — running on sun through the day and on battery through the night, with the generator parked as a rare backup.

Short answer: A typical UAE azba or camel farm needs 3 to 8 kWp of panels with a battery sized for night running. That covers the well pump, shed fans, yard lighting and a worker room with a fridge. The system is fully off-grid and installation takes one to two days on site. A pump-only job can be smaller and needs no battery at all.

The last pole is nowhere near your gate

Most azba in this country sit well past the end of the network, and the answer has always been a diesel generator, a fuel tank and somebody driving out with jerry cans. That is a running cost, a maintenance job and a noise problem all at once — and for the loads a farm actually runs, it is no longer the cheapest way to do it.

What we power on a typical farm

  • The well or borehole pump, which is almost always the biggest single load
  • Shed and pen fans through the hot months
  • Yard and pen lighting after dark
  • The worker room — lights, fans, a fridge, phone charging
  • Occasionally a split AC in the room, and a fodder cutter

How we size it

We do not guess from photos. On the site visit we read the plate on your pump, ask how many hours a day it actually runs, count the fans and lights, and look at where the shade falls. Most farms land between 3 and 8 kWp of panels with a battery sized to carry the night load. A pump-only job can be smaller and needs no battery at all.

Battery, so the night is covered

Sun runs the farm through the day and fills the battery. The battery carries the lights, the fans and the room through the night. We size storage on your real evening load rather than selling you the biggest box on the shelf — an oversized battery is money sitting in a cabinet doing nothing.

Built for a working yard

Equipment goes where animals and vehicles cannot reach it, cabling is run in conduit rather than strung across the yard, and the array is mounted at a height and angle that lets you actually wash it without a ladder truck.

Azba and farm solar questions

Can solar really replace my diesel generator?
For most farm loads, yes. Solar with battery storage runs the pump and lights through the day and evening, and the generator stays only as a rare backup for an unusual week. Owners typically stop the daily fuel trips altogether.
What size system does a camel farm need?
Most azba loads — a water pump, shed fans, lighting and a worker room with a fridge — land between 3 and 8 kWp with a battery sized for night running. We size it from your actual pump rating and daily running hours during the free site visit.
How long does an off-grid farm system take to install?
One to two days on site in most cases. We hand over with the pump running and walk you through every switch before we leave.
Will it run the pump in winter?
Yes — winter days are shorter but clearer, and pump demand also drops when the weather cools. We size for the load you run through the year, not just for June.
My farm is a long way down a sand track. Do you still come?
Yes. We work across Sharjah, Ajman, Umm Al Quwain, Dubai and Ras Al Khaimah, including the inland farms and pens. Send a location pin on WhatsApp and we will drive out for the free visit.
